On Wednesday night I’ll be heading to Heathrow airport… I think! I haven’t decided whether to get up early or to book a hotel at the airport instead! My flight is super early at around 7am so getting to the airport for 5am might prove a little on London’s public transport.
Huskies & Schnapps!
After landing I’ll be heading to the Activ Sunny Hotel in Austria and thankfully, unlike Melvin (Travel Dudes) and some of the other bloggers I won’t getting straight off the plane and getting wet Canyoning! Instead I’ll be slowly getting into the swing of things in the mountains with a visit to a Husky ranch to meet 27 beautiful Huskies!
If that wasn’t the perfect way to start my trip #InAustria then I’ll be samping some schnapps at Gidi’s Genusswerkstatt schnapps distillery as well as discovering the process of distilling of course!
Jakobskreuz, cheese discovery and mountain biking!
The following day I’ll be checking out the view from Jakobskreuz a 95 feet three dimensional cross at the summit of Buchsteinwand mountain. Then recovering with a visit to the cheese making farm Kasplatzl in Aschau and with a foot massage at the Kneipp facilities.
After all this excitment, meeting huskies, relaxing, taking in the views, massages, cheese eating (it’s going to happen!) and sampling schnapps, things go up a gear on Saturday… quite literary! I take to the Lisi Osl Trail on a mountain bike to see if I can make it over jumps, drops and steep bends! Lets hope I make it back in one piece!
360 degree Panoramic views of Tirol & music
After going down hill for most of the afternoon we’ll be heading way up high on Tirol’s most scenic panoramic mountain, Hohe Salve for 360 degree panoramic views over the mountains as well as paying a visit to St. John’s Chapel, the highest pilgrims’ church in Austria.
To round off the trip we’ll be listening to some traditional Austrian music over dinner at Sunnseit Hüttn, expect fun, food… and maybe embarassing dancing!
You can follow along on the hashtag #InAustria and on #InAustria live blogging page for photos, tweets and locations. You can even tweet me and say “hello”, but stay tuned as their might even be time for some live Periscoping!
Huskies or mountain views live on Periscope? Which one would you rather see? Leave a comment and let me know!
