In April 2013 we’ll proudly be bringing the travel blogging conference back to the UK and to the vibrant seaside city of Brighton.
Why?
Well, Traverse is an event created by bloggers for bloggers. There are some key areas that we believe aren’t being catered for, we want to address these areas whilst offering something a little different at the same time.

Part-Time Blogger/Full-Time Worker
Firstly, (being a part-time travel blogger myself) we wanted to create an event that was accessible to bloggers that work full-time. It often seems overlooked that for some, taking 3 or more days off to attend a conference it is actually eating into their holiday allocation for the year. For those independent travellers, that’s precious time. Not everyone has the cash or free time to give to attend such events.
Take Away Value
Secondly, we think that if you are attending an event it’s important to come away having something to act upon. For us, the “talk at people” approach doesn’t give enough practical takeaway value. We want to create a hands on, more personalized approach to learning by focusing on workshops and skills.

Innovation Not Imitation
For me, blogging is all about innovation, not imitation. For that reason Traverse is designed to have much more of a start-up, independent, relaxed, fun but professional vibe where attendees can learn practical skills that they can apply in their own way. We’re flattening the hierarchy to ensure that this event is one where bloggers feel they can approach speakers, interact and gain some real valuable knowledge from the experience.
The location, in the heart of Brighton shared many of these traits that we identify with and is the perfect place to host the first ever Traverse event. The event itself will also feature some innovative social media elements.
Ticket are on sale now and if you are super quick you can pick up one of the remaining discounted 2012 priced tickets (the discounted ticket offer ends 1st January 2013).
